Castle Stalker, Appin, Argyll is well worth the short walk round the bay in order to take some impressive photos of its island perch. The castle itself is privately owned and hence only open to the public on certain days, however behind it lies an impressive backdrop of sea lochs and the hills of the Ardnamurchan peninsula beyond. Unfortunately is was grey, cloudy and wintry when we got there but it made for some black and white photos which I am quite happy with.
I’d love to go back on a beautiful frosty morning or on the evening with a dramatic sunset leaching out over the hills behind. Has anyone else had the pleasure of this?
